Some discussion took place as to the propriety of winding up the association, and it was ultimately resolved " That a general meeting should be called at as early a date as possible for the election of officers, and filling up vacancies in the council, and to determine as to the continuance of the association." It was decided that the next meeting should be held on December 10th. Property Sale.—Mr J. G. Hawkes submitted at his rooms yesterday corner section 490, having one chain frontage to Cambridge Terrace and two and a half chains frontage on Montreal street, together with a seven-roomed house thereon. The attendance was large and the biddings exceedingly spirited, the final bid being that of Mr J. G. Ruddenklau, who became the owner at £775. Two building sites near the South town belt were afterwards put up, but owners' reserve not being reached, were withdrawn. A letter was received from Mr Lezard offering a prize for the junior double scull and senior pairoar races, and the secretary was requested to acknowledge the offer with thanks. The committee considered it desirable that the club should be represented at the Lyttelton regatta in the double scull race ; that members willing to go into training for that event should forward their names to the secretary ; and that Mr Thomson should be requested to select a crew. The secretary (Mr Anson) read the annual report brought up by the committee, which referred to the coursing kindly allowed by Mr J. Deans on his grounds, and also to the late public opening day of the club, from which it was believed members would derive a great deal of experience for guidance of future meetings. The reports suggested that suitable grounds should be provided for coursing over, and that it should be seen that hares were strictly preserved. The object of the new committee should be to issue a programme as early as possible and fix dates of future meetings, to enable tho club to secure the services of a competent judge and slipper, as withont such officials no satisfactory public coursing could be looked for. The statement of accounts showed a dabit balance against tho club, after paying all accounts, of 10s lOd. On the motion of Mr Walker the report and statement were adopted. A discussion of a conversational nature took place as to the advisableness of postponing the election of the incoming committee until next meeting, when a larger attendance might be looked for. It was ultimately decided to adopt this course, the secretary in the meantime to forward circulars to members, and the committee to endeavor to get as many new members as possible.
