POST OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Poet Office for the following places as under, subject to necessary alterations: — FRIDAY, November 16, For Otago, overland, at 11 a.m. ; For Kaikonra and Wellington, per Tui, at 4.45 p.m. ; late letter box, guard’s van, must not he used for the Tui’s mails. Mails per Rotorna will close as under: —• For the United Kingdom, via Sau Francisco, at 1 p.m.; late letters, 1.20 p.m. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, Sydney, America, the Continent of Europe, Canada, Sandwich Islands, &c., at 1 p.m.; late letters, 1.20 p.m. For posting registered correspondence, noon. Money orders can he obtained up to II a.m. Newspapers aud book packets must bo posted before noon.
Late letters for transmission per Rotorua on the 16th iust. can be posted in guard’s van attached to the 2.30 p.m. train for Lyttelton, provided sneh letters hear an additional single rate of postage as a late fee.
For Chatham Islands, per Island Lily, on or about November 22nd. The next English mail via Southampton and Brindisi will close on Monday, November 19th. RUSSELL J. GOODMAN, Acting Chief Postmaster.
