POST OFFICE NOTICES.

Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places as under, subject to necessary alterations THURSDAY, November 15, For Otago, ovei land, at 6 a.m. For Wellington and Nelson, per Arawata, at 1.50 p.m.; Into letters, 2.10 p.m.; railway station, 2.30 p.m. traix. For Wellington, Westport, and Grey month, per Luna, at 3 p.m.; late letters, 3.20 p.m.; railway station, ■! p.m. train. FRIDAY, November 10, For Otago, overland, at 11 a.m. For North and Australian colonies, per Claude Hamilton, at 1.50 p.m. ; late letters, 2.10p.m.; railway station, 2.30 p.m. train. For Kaikonra and Wellington, per Tui, at 4.4 b p.m. ; guard’s van, railway station, must not he used for the Tni’s mails. Mails per Rotorua will close as under: — For tho United Kingdom, via San Francisco, at 1 p.m. ; late letters, 1.20 p.m. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, Sydney, America, the Continent of Europe, Canada, Sandwich Islands, at 1 p.m.; late letters, 1.20 p.m. For posting registered correspondence, noon. Money orders can be obtained up to 11 a.m. Newspapers aud book packets must be posted before uoou. Late letters for transmission per Rotorua on the 16th inst. can be posted in guard’s van attached to tho 2.30 p.m. train for Lyttelton, provided snch letters bear an additional single rate of postage as a late fee.
