The schooner Nelson was berthed yesterday at the Breastwork to discharge. She is advertised to sail for Nelson. The Keward was berthed at tne Breastwork yesterday to load for Wellington. TOTAL WRECK OF THE QUEEN OF THE SOUTH. A cable message was received by Mr Turner yesterday, from Captain Miles, staving that his vessel, the Queen of the Sonth, was a total wreck, but that all hands had been a ved. The vessel had been dismasted and bad her decks swept, but had shaped for Hobart Town for repairs, and while doing so had gone ashore on Acton zeef. Nothing was saved from the wreck. ... . The Queen of the South was a ime iron barque oi about iW tons register, and was owned by Captain Adair, Mr E. M. Adnir, and Mr C. W. Turner. She left Lyttelton in April last, with a cargo for Adelaide, where she loaded for Cape Town, Sonth Africa. From the cape she sailed to Mauritius, and there loaded 500 tons sugar, 200 tons of which •were for Otago, the rest for Lyttelton, on account of Messrs Sclanders, Fletcher and Co., and Mr Turner. . , . The vessel, wn nre informed, was insured m the New Zealand Insurance Co., who had reinsured with other companies, retaining £ISOO risk themselves. The cargo was worth, probably, £16.000 to £17,000, but it is not yet known in what offices the sugar was covered. ENGLISH SHIPPING.
