CHRISTCHURCH. Friday, November 9. [Before G, L. Lee, Esq., J.P.] DEUNKENNESS.~For being dnmk and disorderly two first offenders were fined 5s each ; Robert Taylor, 6s; John O’Brien, 10s; Richard Bell, 10s; T. Arnold, ss; D. Buckly, 10s ; J. Mahoney, 10s. Violent Assault.— W. Petley was brought up charged with violently assaulting his wife, so as to occasion grevions bodily harm. Inspector Buckley stated that the complainant had to be removed to the Hospital owing to the injuries received from the prisoner, and was unable to appear. He therefore applied for a remand, which was granted to November 17th.
