CHEISTCHUECH. Thursday, November 8. [Before Alexander Lean, Esq., J.P.] Miscellaneous. Jane McMahon, drunkennesß and indecency, was fined £5, or one month's imprisonment. Two offenders were dismissed with a caution not to repeat the offence. Assaulting the Police.—Fred. Culhford was charged with assaulting Constable Brady while in the execution of his duty. Accused was very noisy. He was fined 20s with cab hire. —John Eeilly was charged with assaulting Constable Bowse at the Eacecourse at 9 o'clock on the previous night, by striking him and biting his finger. The accused said be had at one time received a cut in his head, and drink had made him " incomprehensible" on the occasion; He was fined 40s. LYTTELTON. Thursday, November 8. [Before W. Donald, Esq., E.M.] Drunk and Using Obscene Language. —Joseph Allan, arrested by Constable Devine, charged with the above, was fined 10s. Constantino Sweeney, also charged with drunkenness, was fined 10s.
