POST OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places as under, subject to necessary alterations :— SATURDAY, November 3. Tor Otago, overland, at 6 a.m. and 11 a.m. For Wellington, Nelson, Westport, Greyinouth, and Australian Colonics, per Alhainbra, at 1,50 p.m.; late letters, 2.10 p.m.; railway station, 2.30 p.m. train. MONDAY, November 5. For Otago, overland, at 6 a.m. For Northern ports, per Hawea, at 1.50 p.m.; late letters, 2.10 p.m.; railway station, 2.3 U p.m. train. For Local mails and postal rates, see Guide No. 16. New Post Offices have been opened at Waimate Junction and Kirwee. The next English mail via San Francisco closes on or about November 10th.
