Fleming; for Sydney: Miss Moore, and ten original. Sailed—November 2. Courier, Vetch, 31 tons, Sinclair, for Motamm. Master, agent. Tbe Firefly arrived at 11.30 p.m. on Thursday, November Ist. She brings a cargo of timber trom the Bluff. The passage occupied five days. The Wanganui Steam Navigation Company is being actively floated. The capital is to be £-30,000, with which it is intended to purchase the St. Kilda, Wallabi, and Clyde, and also to procure a new boat specially for the Wanganui trade. From a Dnneclin firm an offer bos been received to furnish a boat ot tho description specified for the sum of £9OOO. lhe new vessel is to be a screw boat of 150 tons register, draught 6ft Oin., and guaranteed to steam Jo knots. On board the ill-fated Avalanche was a magnificent steam launch worth £ISOO, intended lor the Kaipara trade. She was built to the order of Mr Philip Rathbone, of Messrs Rathbone, Martin and Co , of Liverpool, and consigned to Mr Henry MeMurdo, of Otamatea, and Mr Alfreds. Rathbone, now resident at Kaiwaka. Captain McLellau received a telegram yesterday afternoon from Captain Fairchild, of the s.s. Stella stating be had arrived at Kaikoura, and was in search of the derelict schooner Clan Alpine, and. askin<* him if anything more of her had been heard in Lyttelton. Captain McLellau replied that nothing had been heard either of the Clan Alpme or the Titan which went in search, and no doubt the Stella proceeded in her quest last night. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS.
