Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places as under, subject to necessary alterations MONDAY, October 29. For Otago, overland, at 6 a.m. For Dunedin, via Timaru, per Maori, at 1.50 p.m.; late letters, 2.10 p.m.; railway station, 2.30 p.m. train. For South and Australian Colonies, per Riugarooma, at 1.50 p.m. ; late letters, 2.10 p.m.; railway station, 2.30 p.m. train. For Kaikoura and Wellington, per Tui, at 4.45 p.m. The late letter-box, guard’s van, must not be used for Tui’s mail. TUESDAY, October 30. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Taranaki, at 1.50 p.m.; late letters, 2.10 p.m.; railway station, 2.30 p.m. train. For Local mails and postal rates, see Guide
