She left for Port Chalmers at 1 p.xn. The barque Queensland, from Newcastle, was signalled this morning. WRECKAGE. Captain Thompson of the ketch Unity, who arrived yesterday from Polorus Sound, reports passing about six miles from Stoneyhurst, some wreckage, evidently belonging to a vessel of about 30 or 40 tons. A hatch was first sighted, then two spars, and finally a galley which passed so close that the men tried to get it aboard the ketch with a boat-hook, hut failed, as she was going through the water too rapidly. The hatch and galley were painted stone colour, and the latter was square in shape. Both were quite fresh audhad evidently not been many hours iu the water. T'here is little donbt|that some small vessel has been lost, and some rumors were afloat iu Port yesterday with regard to what craft it would be likely to prove, but we refrain from mentioning- names till it has ceased to become a matter of surmise.
