Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places as under, subject to necossary alterations:— SATURDAY, October 27. For Ofcago, overland, at C a.m. and 11 a.m. For Otago, per Wakatipn, at 11 a.m.; late letters, 11.20 a.m.: railway station, 12.10 p.m. train. For Wellington and Wauganui, per St. Kilda, at 1.50 p.m. ; late letters, 2.10 p.m.; railway station, 2.30 x>.m. train. MONDAY, October 29. For Otago, overland, at 6 a.m. For Dunediu, via Tiniarn, per Maori, at 1.50 p.m.; late letters, 2.10 p.m.; railway station, 2.30 p.m. train. For South and Australian Colonies, per Ringarooma, at 1.50 p.m. ; late letters, 2.10 p.m.; railway station, 2.30 p.m. train. For Kaikoura and Wellington, per Tui. at 4.45 p.m. The late letter-box, guard's van, must not be used for for Tui's mail. For Sydney, via Wellington, on Thursday, November Ist.
