CRICKET AND BATHING.
To the Editor of the Globe. Sm, —Will you kindly give me space in tonight’s issue to draw the attention o£ the City Council to two small wants, which, if carried out, will be a great boon to a large number of citizens, both old and young. First —To have the grass now growing so luxuriantly in Cranmer square cut, that the ground may be available for use as a cricket ground, or to enable pedestrians to cross without inconvenience. Second —To expend a small amount at the Bathing place in Hagley Park, in erecting a small shed where bathers can deposit their clothes during a shower, or, in preference to undressing and leaving their clothes on the damp ground. Also, providing a plank platform along the river bank. To carry out the above suggested works will not cost much, but will be a great boon to a large number of people, and fully appreciated by them, I trust the Council will give effect to the suggestions without delay. Yours. &c.. PATFTFTt.
