As will be seen by onr list of arrivals quite a fleet of vessels arrived this morning from Australian and New Zealand ports. The Crusader will be berthed to-day, and commences her discharge on Thursday. The favorite little s.s. Tui filled up and sailed last night at 6 p.m. for Wellington and Foxton, via Kaikoura. The "Auckland Herald" says :—Private letters received in town by the late mail, and dated London, August 23rd, state that the barque Glenlora, which was originally on the berth for this port, had been taken off, and was to proceed to Canterbury instead. Eespecting the winner of onr Champion Yacht race last year, the "Sydney Herald" says:—The cutter-yacht Secret arrived on Thursday, 27th ult., fiom Auckland, after a stormy passage of twentyfive days, the winds prevailing principally from the westward, so that she has had to beat across from New Zealand. She was built in Auckland two years since by Messrs Niccol and Sons, and has been very fortunate iu several races in which she has been engaged. Although not very taking in appearance, she is a powerful-looking craft. She is 51ft. long, with lift. 6in. beam, which is carried nearly fore-and-aft. She has a long, fine run, and rather straight sheer. The cabin is roomy, but very plainly fitted. The Secret has been purchased by Mr Newton. SHIPPING TELEGEAMS. Wellington, October 16. The ship Wairoa is at the heads, ninety-two days out from London. She brings 190 immigrants. Bluff, October 16. The s.s. Arawata, with the Suez mail, has arrived, having left Melbourne at 12.30 p.m. on the 11th. Encountered a strong northerly gale on the 15th; for the remainder of the passage average weather. Passengers for Lyttelton—Mr and Mrs Bidmead and family (4), Mr and Mrs Tait, Miss Labertouch, Messrs McKinnon, Firring, and Kennedy ; six steerage, and 50 tons cargo.
