Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places as under, subject to necessary alterations: — FRIDAY, October 12. For Otago, overland, at 11 a.m. SATURDAY, October 13, For Otago, overland, at 0 a.m. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Albion, at 1.50 p.m.; late letters, 2.10 p.m.; railway station, 2.30 p.m. train. For Northern ports per Taranaki, at 3 p.m.; late letters, 3.20 p.m.; railway station, 4 p.m. train. The next English mail will close on Friday, Oct. 19th. For Local mails, see Postal Guide No. 16. J.
