To the EdAtor of the Globe. Sib, —Will you kindly let your readers know when the Mayor intends to act upon the good suggestion you made last week about calling a public meeting on the above subject. Many are anxious to subscribe towards the relief fund, but delay in the hopes of seeing in such cases the hearty co-operation of all classes headed by their Mayor. We can afford to give up a few luxries at present, so that the public may not be taxed too much for subscriptions alljat once. Yours, &c., CITIZEN.
