COMMERCIAL.
The revenue collected at the Customs on Friday amounted to £577 10s lOd. The following were the items: —Wine and spirits, £l7B 11s 8d; tobacco, £9112s 6d; tea, £4-7 10s; coffee, £3O; rice, £l2 19s; corn flour, £4; nutmeg, £1 Is; candles, £lO 8s 4d; drapery, £123 16s; boots, £7 6s; sundries, £4O 6s 4d.
Messrs Miles, Hassal and Co. have negotiated the sale of Messrs Rhodes’ Seadown estate and stock, to Messrs Driver, Fleming, Hedley and Co., for the sum of £115,000. The estate consists of 9335 acres freehold, and the stock 12,000 sheep, 800 cattle, and 20 horses. The purchasers are well known agriculturists in Otago, and will no doubt give a good account of their purchase.
