POST OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places as under, subject to necessary alterations:— MONDAY, October 8. For Otago, overland, at 6 a.m. For "Wellington and Australian Colonies, per Wakatipu, at 1.50 p.m.; late letters, 2.10 p.m.; railway station, 2.30 p.m. train. TUESDAY, October 9. For Otago, overland, at 11 a.m. For Otago, per Hawea, at 11 a.m.; late letters, 11,20 a.m.; railway station, 12.10 p.m. train. The next English mail closes on or about October 18th. For Local mails, see Postal Guide No. 1.6. J. J. FITZGIBBON, Chief Postmaster.
