The s.s. St. Kilda arrived at 8.30 a.m. She sails North to-night. The s.s. Wanaka, from South, arrived at 9 a.m. She sails for Northern Ports this afternoon. The barque Malay was advertised to leave Hobart Town for Lyttelton on September 27th, three days after the Thomas Brown sailed. The Planter, barque, in ballast from this port, Captain Evans, master, arrived at Hobart Town on September 21st, after a rough and protracted passage of twenty-nine days. The Clematis, brig, which left Lyttelton same day had not arrived at Hobart Town at that date. Captain Dillner, who is a passenger by the Thomas Brown, comes to take charge of the brigantine Elora. ■ The Flora, bngantme, Captain W. Canlton, arrived last evening from Hobart Town, after a twenty days' passage, with a cargo of palings, shingles, and blue gum timber, consigned to W. Montgomery and Co., particulars of which we were unable to ascertain in time for insertion in this issue. Reports leaving Hobart Town on September 16th, and Storm Bay on the 18th, light S.E, winds and thick hazy weather prevailing till the vessel was about 200 miles eastward of the Solanders, when it freshened up from the westward, carrying to her within thirty miles of the Solanders, when it shifted round to north, and blew terrifically for about five hours, necessitating the vessel being hove-to during the night of the 28th September. At daylight on the 29th found the vessel had drifted about fifteen miles to the southward of Stewart's Island, so came south about. Had light S.W. and strong N.E. winds till abreast of Port Chalmers, thence light variables to arrival as above.
