Mails close at flic Chief Post Office for tlio following places as under, subject to necessary alterations; — THUKSm V, October I. For Otau'o, overland, at (i a.in. FRIDAY, October 5. For Otago, overland, at U a.in. and 11 a.ui. For Akaroa and Port Chalmers, per Taranaki, at 11 a.in. ; late letters, 11,20 a .in.; railway station, 12.1 n p.m. train. For Kaikoura and Wellington, per Tni, at 1.15 p.m. The late box in the Guard’s van, must not be used for Tui’s mails. For Local mails, sec Postal Guide No. hi. J. J. riTZGIUUotf, Chief Postmaster.
