Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places as under, subject to necessary alterations: — WEDNESDAY, September 26. For Otago, overland, at 6 a.m. and 11 a.m. For Wellington and Nelson, per Riugarooma, at 1.50 p.m.; late letters, 2.10 p.m.; railway, 2.30 p.m. train For'Wellington, Westport, and Greymouth, per Luna, at 3 p.m. ; late letters, 3.20 p.m.; railway station, 4 p.m. train. THURSDAY, September 27. For Otngo, overland, at 0 a.m. J. J. FITZGIBBON, Chief Postmaster.
