Mails closo at the Chief Post-office for the following places as undor, subject to necessary alterations;— SATURDAY, September 22. For Otago, overland, at 6 a.m. For Wellington and Kaikoura, per Tni, at 1.1-5 p.m. ; late letter box, Guard's van, must not be used for Tui's ma'ls. Mails per Rotorna will close as under: — For the United Kingdom, via San Francisco, at 1 p.m.; late letters, 1.20 p.m. For the Continent of Europe, America,, Canada, Sandwich Islands, at Ip.m.; late letters, 1.20 p.m. For Northern ports of Now Zealand and Sydney, ut 1 p.m.; late letters, 1.20 p.m. Newspapers and books for Rotorna's mails, noon. Money orders, 11.30 a.m. Registered letters, noon. English mail, per Rotorua, is due in London on or about November Bth. American mail, per Rotorna, is due in San Francisco on or about October 18th. „ , . . Late letters for mails per Rotorua can be posted in the guard's van, Christehuroh Railway Station, by 2.30 p.m. train, Saturday, 22nd instant, provided such letters bear an additional single rate of postage as a late fee.
