Morning, 3.15 ; uight, D.»t. Arrived —September 21. Sarah and Mary, brigantine, 154 tons, Stevens, from Ainuri Bluff. Master, agent. Cleared—September 21. Minnehaha, schooner, St! tons, Ma.thew.for Auckland. P. Cunningham and Co., agents. A barque from the North, supposed to be the Ansdell, from Newcastle, was signalled this morning. The Prince Alfred, Marmion, and Unity went into the stream yesterday, ready for proceeding to their several destinations when the wind serves. The William Davie is getting on fast witniier loading; already her lower hold is full, and there is no doubt she will be ready to sail at her advertised date* ... . ,-i -i The Waimate is proceeding rapidly with nor discharge, and will be a clear ship by the latter end of this week. . . The New Zealand Shipping Company s ship "Waikato is nearly full, and will finish up during the week and proceed to sea on Saturday. Bythes.s. Botorua, which is due hero on Saturday morning, some eighty bales of loose wool and some gold, besides passengers, from Otago are expected, and immediately these are put aboard the ship will proceed to sea, Thanks to the excellent management of all concerned the ship is in an advanced state of preparation, and will by Saturday be in thorough sea-going trim. The Especnlador takes a lull load of produce lor Auckland, instead of Newcastle, as stated in error in yesterday's issue. She commences her loading to-day. After discharge at Auckland she proceeds to Newcastle, where she will load for this port. The Loch Fergus, which has arrived at Sydney from Liverpool, encountered a whirlwind during the passage, causing considerable damage. The John JDuthie, which has arrived, also lost two In consequence of the continued indisposition of Captain Edwin, now having lasted one month, the advices as to storm warnings and other reports have been neglected, as no assistance is allowed by the Government. During the year 1876 forty-eight vessels reached Hokitika with cargoes from other colonies. Nineteen vessels from other colonics with cargoes reached Greymouth, and eleven landed cargoes at Westport. The tonnage of the vessels at each place is given as follows:—Hokitika, 19,512 tons; Greymouth, 3723 : and Westport. 1252. SHIPPING TELEGiiAMS.. Attckland, September 20. Sailed—Taupo, 5 p.m. Passengers for Lyttelton —Mrs Griffin, Misses Elby, Chisholm, and W. Jennings. , , The Hero left Sydney for Auckland last evening. A barque, supposed to be the Galatea, from London, is signalled. Wellington, September 20. Sailed—Tui, for Kaikoura and Lyttelton, at 6 p.m. Passengers—Capt. Davidson, Mr Hillier. Timaru, September 20. Arrived—The s.s. Beautiful Star, from Lyttelton, early this morning, but the sea being too heavy for shipping, she proceeded to Dnnedin. Port Chalmers, September 20. Arrived—Hawea, from Lyttelton. Herbert Black, barque, from New York, May 29th. She brings, in addition to her Dunedin cargo, 250 tons for Wellington. _^___^^^___^_____^__
