At the sittings of the "Waste Lands Board on Thursday, 11,217 acres 1 rood 38 perches were disposed of, realising £22,435 8s 6d. The land was situated as follows :—Ashley, 756 acres; Selwyn, 299 acres 1 rood 38 perches; Ashburton, 1167 acres; Geraldine, 160 acres; Waimate, 8835 acres.
