SHAW, SAVILLE, AND CO.’S SHIP LANGSTONE. Yesterday morning it was rumored in Lyttelton that the ship Langstone had been sighted on the previous day off Dunedin Heads. In spite of there being no news by telegraph to that effect, the rumor proved correct, for about 5.15 p.m. the ship was signalled, and the Langstoue’s number was soon rim up. Captain Parker has made a capital trip with his smart little ship. He passed Deal on the 17th (ten days after the Waimate), and as he got into harbor late last night, the run has occupied eighty-five days from Deal to anchorage. The Akaroa. s.s., went down to tow the ship in, the wind being light S.W. The health officers will uot visit the ship till to-day, us she was still outside at dark, so we can give no further particulars till tomorrow’s issue.
