POST-OFFICE NOTICES.

Mails close at the Chief Post-office for the following places as under, subject to necessary alterations TUESDAY, September 11. For Otago, overland, at 11 a.m. WEDNESDAY, September 12. For Otago, per Wanaka. For Northern ports, per Tanpo. For Chatham Islands, per Omaha, The next English mail, via San Francisco, will close at Christchurch on or about the 20th inst. On and after Tuesday next, the 11th inst., an additional mail will be dispatched to Addington, closing at 11 a.m.; return mail will close at Addington at 5 p.m. J. J. FITZGIBBON, Chief Postmaster.
