CITY COUNCIL ELECTION.

To the Editor of the Globe. Sir,—A few days ago it was stated in your columns that a requisition was being signed, asking the Mayor to call a public meeting of burgesses to elicit the opinions of would-be Councillors on current topics of the day. Thinking such a course very advisable, might I be allowed to suggest to his Worship the wisdom of calling such meeting at 7.30 or 8 o.ui. instead of p.m., otherwise the sixteen, candidates cannot possibly have time to do themselves justice. I am, Ac., Talk.
