CHRISTCHURCH. Friday, August 31. (Before G. L. Mellish, Esq., and C. Whitefoord, Esqs., R.M.’s.) Drunk and Disorderly. —James Vickery, charged with being drunk and resisting the police, was fined 20s. A first offender, who had been admitted to bail, was fined 10s. Wife Desertion. —Henry Jordan, charged on warrant with having deserted his wife, Sarah Jordan, was ordered to pay 10s per week towards her maintenance.
