Mails close at the Chief Post-office for the following places as under, subject to necessary alterations Wednesday— August 29. For Otago, overland, at 6 a.m. For Wellington and Nelson, per Kiugarooma, at 1.50 p.m-; late letters, 2.10 p.m.; railway station, 2.30 p.m. train. For Otago, per Hawea, August 31st. For Northern Ports, per Wauaka, September Ist. For Otago and Australian Colonies, September Ist, For Local Mails sec Postal Guide No. 15. J. J. FITZGIBBON, Chief Postmaster.
