The revenue collected at the Customs on Thursday amounted to £267 18s Id. The following were the items: —Wine and spirits, £9l 12s; tobacco, £3O 2s 6d ; tea, £37 6s Cd; coffee, £ll4s 6d ; sugar, £42 14s 4d ; oil, £8 12s 6d ; cement, £ls ; hour bags, £3 6s ; druggists’ sundries, £l7 8s; drapery, £l6 Ss; paint, £6 10s; firearms, £4; sundries, £9 12s Id. The quantity of land sold at the land sales on Thursday was 7786 acres, realising the sum of £15,572, and situated as follows: —Ashley, 1231 acres ; Selwyu, 2208 acres; Akaroa, 240 acres ; Ashburton, 3261 acres; Geraldine, 1272 acres; Waimate, 682 acres.
