The revenue collected at the Customs on Wednesday air"3ntedto £496 12s lOd. The following were the items: —Wine and spirits, £2lO 12s 9d; ale and stout, £35 10s; cigars, £6O 15s lid; tobacco, £3O 16s : tea, £lO 2s 6d; sugar, £95 lis 6d ; treacle, £4 17s 9d; hops, £3 18s 3d; sundries, £3 Ss 2d. LIVE STOCK MARKET. At the Canterbury Sale Yards on Wednesday last, a large supplv of both sheep and cattle came forward. The 'finality of the sheep was especially superior and generally admired. Biddings for the best descriptions were animated, whilst half fat and ordinary descriptions were neglected, the top price in cross-breds being 17s 6d and in merinos i Is. Fat cattle and stores sold readily at about last week's values: best fat cattle from £l3 ss, £l4 to £ls 10s; up to for very hen vy weights to £l7 lOs-equal to 32s 6d to 35s per lOOlbs. At the ordinary' weekly skin, hide, tallow, and ■wool sales held at the Stores on Thursday last a large entry came forward, and considering the lite unsatisfactory English advices prices were very satisfactory, best cross-breds bringing 6s 7d to 6s lOd; fair to ordinary, 4s lOd, 5s 6d to 6s each ; farmers' audstatiou skins, in proportion to quality, Ss, 4sodtoss lOd; hides, salted, 4Jd per lb; green, 3UI ■per lb ; calf, 6d per lb ; rough fat, 2d, 2sd to 3d per
