CHRISTCHURCH. Tuesday, August 14. (Before G. L. Hellish, Esq., R.M.) Transfer of License. —The license of the Garrick Hotel avus transferred from E, Pargeter to EdAvarcl Cookson. Tuesday, August 14. (Before W. Donald, Esq., R.M.) Embezzlement of Ship Cargo. John Shanahan, William John Carter, and Robert Moir, seamen belonging to the ship Waikato, Avere brought up charged Avitli this offence, and remanded until Wednesday for the production of evidence.
Among- the Perils lo which the unhealthy are liable is the danger of injury from rascally imitations and worthless competitors of standard medicines. So familiar, however, is the public with Udolpxio Wolfe’s Schiedam Aromatic Schnapps, that it is certain that bogus imitations and poisonous importations continually put forward to supplant it will do far less harm than might otherwise be autidpated.w[4ovi.]
