CABLE NEWS [PEIi PKESS AGENCY.] THB~WAR. Russian Defeat at Lovatz Confirmed. Roumanian Forces Crossing the Danube. Servia Preparing for War. Wellington, August 13. The following is the Agent's telegram dated London, August 11. The Russians have been defeated with great loss at Lovatz. It ia reported that the Russians have been driven from south of the Balkans, and are now only holding the Shipka and Bostcmgrico passes. The Russian army is in great force before Plevna, and the Roumanian army is crossing the Danube to attack the Turkish left if required. The Emperor has inspected the army of the Czarowitz. The Servians are reported as preparing to renew offensive operations against Turkey. INTERPROVINCIAL. Nelson, August 13. N. Edwards and Co. have received a telegram from Messrs Shaw, Savilie and ,(Jo., in reply to one announcing the wreck of the Queen Bee, and stating she was uninsured.
