Mails close at the Chief Post-office for the following places as under, subject to necessary alterations: — Monday, August 13. For Otago, overland, at 6 a. 311. For Wellington, Nelson, and Australian Colonies, per Tararua, at 1.50 p.m.; late letters, 2.10 p.m.; railway station, 2.30 p.m. train. For Northern Ports of New Zealand and Sydney, per Wakatipn, at 1.50 p.m.; late letters, 2.10 p.m.j railway station, 2.30 p.m. train. For Otago, per St. Hilda, at 11 a.m.; late letters, 11,20 a.m.; railway station, 12,10 p.m. train. Letters for Otago per St. Hilda must bo specially addressed, Tuesday, August 14. For Otago, per Hawea. For local mails, sec Postal Guide, No. 15. J. J, FITZGIBBON, Chief Postmaster.
