Larceny.—John Parker, arrested for steal - ing n pair of boots from the door of Mr J. Percy, High street, was sentenced to six months' imprisonment, with hard labor. LYTTELTON. Friday, August 10. (Before W.Donald, Esq., P.M.) Desertion.—Niehol Joenson and Anthony Helgeson, seamen, belonging to the barque Ocean Chief, were charged with the above offence by Captain Cook, master of that vessel, and, the offence being proved, they were sentenced to ten days' imprisonment with hard labor. Drunkenness. —Matthew Smith and John Drysdale, arrested bv Constable Bullen, were charged with this offence. .Smith was lined 10s and Drysdale 20s. | Drunk on Railway Premisks. -Matthew Scott, charged with this offence by Constable Johnstone, was fined 10s.
