If Dr Powell approved of it the committee recommended the adoption of the pan, and the calling for tenders for sixty pans. Air Harman said that he might explain that Air Walkden’s plan would allow of the work being done in the day time, and, besides, it met many of the objections which had been felt when they came to see it. The committee thought that Mr Walkdeu’s plan was the best submitted. The secretary said that the Medical Officer of Health approved highly of Air Waklden’s plan, and tenders had been advertised for. It was resolved that Air Walkden be reimbursed for any expense he had been put to, the cost to be divided between the Board and the City Council, The report as a whole was adopted. ACCOUNTS. Accounts to the amount of £l3 13s 4d were passed for payment. INVECTIOUS DISEASES. Two cases of scarlatina were reported during the fortnight. The Board then adjourned. India has now begun to cut out China as the supplier of tea. In 1875, for the first time, the import of China tea to Great Britain ceased to augment, while that of the Indian product represented the whole increase. The same fact is true of the United States, which is drawing its supply from Japan more and more every year. | Radical Changes for the Better take place in the disordered and weakened stomach, the torpid liver, the dormant or congested kidneys, the irritated bladder, the overstrained nerves, the rheumatic joints, and weakened muscles, when that supremely efficiently stomachic, antibilious remedy, nervine blood depurent and tonic, Udolpho Wolfe’s Schiedam Aromatic Schnapps is employed to rectify their disorders or overcome their disabilities. —[Advt.]
