Rustehuk Completely Invested. Heavy Skirmishing-. Singapore, July 20. The Russians have completely invested Rustchuk. Heavy skirmishes have taken place in the vicinity of Silistria, Yarna, and Shumla. INTERPRO VINCI AL. Kumara, July 27. Muldroney, one of the men injured in a mining accident, died shortly after being released. A verdict of “ Accidental death” was returned. Dunedin, July 27. The nomination of Councillors for the city of Dunedin took place at noon to-day. There is opposition in every ward except the Leith. The elections promise to be keenly contested. Mr W. P. Street, late chief clerk in the Magistrate’s Court, Dunedin, will be presented with a testimonial to-morrow by the members of the legal profession. Mr R, Hay, engineer, reports that the cost of the railway line from Dunedin to Aimes, seventy-three miles, will be £297,000.
