The s.s. Albion arrived at 8.30 a.m. today. She sails for Melbourne via South at 3 p.m. The Easby was coining up the harbor when our express left Port. She pails for Sydney via Wellington this afternoon. The Nellie, from Thames ; Acadia, from Napier ; andj Flora, from Kaipara, arrived this morning. All are timber laden.
The Owake and Cora, schooners, for Timaru, were at Port Underwood with the Especulador, and left at same date.
The Helena, brigantine, from the Manukau, reached port yesterday at 2.30 p.m. She left on July Bth, with a fresh southerly breeze, and passed Cape Egmont on the 12th ; on the 16th had to run for shelter to Port Underwood, lay there till the 19th, and left with a light northerly breeze, which held till off the Heads, when it drew to the eastward, continuing so to arrival as above.
The schooner Aspasia, Captain Johnston, arrived yesterday afternoon. Reports leaving Eaipara on June 28th, and having southerly weather down the coast; on July oth had to run into Port Underwood for shelter; made three unsuccessful attempts to get away but could not clear the harbor till Thursday last at 9 a.m.; she then left with a fresh northerly breeze, passing Cape Campbell at 5 p.m., and arriving as above. The schooner Elizabeth Conway, Captain Ware, arrived at 2.30 p.m. yesterday. Reports leaving Hokitika on July Bth, with a southerly wind, passing Cape Farewell on tho 10th early, and Stevens' Island same night. A westerly wind then sprang up, lasting till the 12th, when it came on to blow hard from the southward; put into Port Underwood for shelter, and lay there till Thursday, when she got away with a northerly breeze, passing Cape Campbell at 4- p.m., and arriving as above. The J. G. Coleson, brigantine, Captain Rousley, arrived from Picton at 5 p.m. yesterday. Reports leaving on July lb'th with strong S.E. breeze, and putting into Ship Cove for shelter next day. Sailed again at 1 p.m. on the 18th with a light Southerly breeze, which held till the schooner was off Cape Campbell at noon on Thursday, when it shifted round to north, continuing to blow from that quarter to arriual as above. The barque Primera was towed from the Tunnel Wharf into the stream by the p.s. Titan yesterday afternoon. She clears to-day, and sails first slant of wind. The Especuludor will be berthed to discharge at the No. 3 Wharf, the Aspasia at the Breastwork, the Helena at No. 1, and the Ellerton at the Tunnel. m SHIPPING TELEGRAMS.
