[per press agency.] Auckland, July 17. At a meeting of Hamilton Ward’s creditors liabilities were shown to be £6BOO, and assets £7IOO. The estate is expected to pay 20s in the pound. A deed of assignment in favor of trustees was assented to.
At a meeting of Sutton’s creditors the liabilities were shown to be £4733, and the assets £3OOO. An assignment made in favor of the creditors was accepted. At a meeting of Marks’ creditors the liabilities were shown to be £2300, and the assets £IOBO. The estate was assigned. A pigeon match took place to-day —Perkins against Maxwell, of Christchurch. Mr Perkins scored 17 and Mr Maxwell 14, Mr Perkins winning by three points. Wellington, July 17.
The Clio has put in, bound for Lyttelton. A sailor named Christopher Smith fell from the topsail yard owing to something giving way. The vessel was rolling a great deal at the time. He sustained some injury to his hip, &c. He has gone to the hospital. Dunedin, July 17.
Mr Bradshaw received applications for 5500 shares iu the new Insurance Company to-day.
