(Per Albion, via Hokitika.) The Parliamentary business is unimportant. The budget speech will not be delivered till the close of the month. Lieut.-Colonel St. Hill, formerly A.D.C. to General Cameron, has arrived as private secretary to Governor Weld. Dr Sounnerville’s lectures have been attended by large crowds. Recently over 2000 persons in one night were unable to obtain admission. The revenue of the colony for the past year was £1,514,123, showing an increase of £188,902 on the previous year. Sir W. Jervois has been seriously indisposed, but is now recovering. The Government is arranging for a Cape route service. They have reopened negotiations with Air Green, of the Blackwall line. Oats arc very firm, and extreme rates arc obtained.
