MAGISTRATES' COURTS.
CHEISTCHUECH. Tuesday, July 17. [Before G. L. Mellish, Esq, R.M.] Drunk. —For being drunk and disorderly, Thomas Barlow and H. S. D'Arcy were each fined 10s. Two inebriates, who appeared for the first time, were fined 5s each. Drunk and Using Obscene Language.— Annie Sullivan, for this offence, was fined 20s, and Is 6d cab hire. LYTTELTON". Tuesday, July 17. (Before W. Donald, Esq., E.M., H. E. Webb, and J. T. Eouse, Esqs., J.P.'s.) Chimney on Fire. —F. Crowley was fined 10s for allowing his office chimney to take fire. Cattle Trespass. Samuel Hall was fined 20s, and costs 4s, for allowing four horses to wander on the Governor's Bay road. Mrs Edgar, for allowing two heifers to be at large on the Sumner road, was fined 10s, and costs 4s. Breach of the Police Ordinance. — Wm. Cook, charged with allowing a quantity of meat to overhang the footpath in London street, was fined 10s, and costs 4s. C. Elmes, charged with the same offence, was also fined 10s., with costs 4s.
