Tbc amount of revenue collected at the Customs on Monday amounted to £1055 lis (3d. The following were the items:—Wine and spirits, £l3l 5s 3d; ale, £ii) ; beer, £o7 10s 3d; tobacco, £lO2 10s; sugar, £ll7 18s 8d; tea, £77 6s 6d; boots, £l2; cement, £10; leather, £6 Us 3d; corn flour, £lO 2s; drapery, £241 8s; sundries, £839 7s 7d.
The land sold at the Waste Lands Board on Monday amounted to 2905 acres, realising £'sßlo, situated as follows : —Ashley, 761 acres; Selwyn, 775 acres; Ashburton, 434 acres; Geraldinc, 535 acres; Waimate, 400 acres.
