Clematis, ketch, 67 tons, McConville, from Hokitika. Clio, schooner, 34 tons, Chambers, from Kaipara. Sailed —June IS. Smiling Morn, barquentine, Williams, for Newcastle. Circe, brigantine, Brownell, for Newcastle. Margaret Galbraith, ship, Fergusson, for London. Passenger —J oh n Yykes. Shaw, Saville, and Co.’s ship Margaret Galbraith sailed for London this morning. The schooner Clio arrived from Kaipara this morning. LOST OVERBOARD FROM THE KETCH CLEMATIS. Capt. McConville, master of the ketch Clematis, which arrived here this morning from Hokitika, reports the loss of one of his sailors during the passage down. It appears that at 9 a.m. yesterday, the vessel being then between thirty and forty miles from Godley Heads, a man named James Moore was making fast the bowline of staysail, a reef having been shaken out just previously, when the hawse parted, and the sail beating about knocked the man overboard.
