The Russians have completely invested Kars, Midhat Pasha is commanding the garrison. The position is very critical. The Queen of Holland is dead. INTERPROYiNCIAL. Greymoutu, June 5. A digger, named Watson, working on the North beach, in the course of a drunken melee, bit off the nose of his mate, named Williams, and then burned down the tent. Williams is in great danger. He was previously beaten over the head with a billet of wood by the same party. Watson was committed tor trial at the District Court.
