Passengers : The Marquis of Normanby, Captain Maling, Hon. C. C. Bowen, Messrs F. B. Passmore and Nan carrow. Cleared. —June 5. Ringarooma, s.s, Whitburn, for Welling ton and Nelson. Sailed —June 4. Ladybird, s.s., Griffiths, for Northern Ports. Passengers ; saloon, for Wanganui, Mr Thompson ; for Picton, Mr Waschmann; for Manakau, Miss McWilliams; for Taranaki, Mrs C, A. Wills ; for Nelson, Mrs J. W. Sillock. Steerage : Mr C. Frank, and twelve original. Amateur, ketch, Nelson, for Akaroa. June 5. Courier, ketch, Sinclair, for Pigeon Bay. A ketch (supposed to be the Clematis) was coming up the harbour when our express left port this morning. The s.s. Ringarooma, from Melbourne via South, arrived at 7.35 this morning. She sails for Wellington and Nelson this afternoon. The Government steam yacht Hinemoa, with the Governor and suite aboard, arrived at 10,30 a.m., and was moored at the Screwpile Jetty.

The Emperor, brig, was towed into the stream b y the p.s. Titan yesterday ready for sea. The Smiling Morn will he brought in to the tunnel wharf to-day, the Isle of France to No 2, and the Amalie to No 3. The Sarah and Mary will finish her loading on ■Wednesday. The Piako and Margaret Galbraith were both doing good work yesterday. The s.s. Ladybird took in 80 tons of cargo at the screw pile jetty, and sailed North last night shortly after 6 p.m. The brig Emperor was towed into the fairway by the p.s. Titan yesterday. She sails for Newcastle with the first fair wind.

The barques Queensland and Woodbine were towed in from the stream yesterday, the former being berthed at No 3 wharf, and the latter at Cunningham’s wharf. They commence their discharge to-day. The Nardoo was towed in yesterday and berthed at No 2 wharf.
