MAGISTRATES' COURTS.
CHEISTCHUECH. Friday, June 1. [Before Dr. Deamcr, J.P.] Drunk and Disorderly.—James Alexander was fined 5s ; Wm. Warner was discharged, on promising to leave town ; and four inebriates, who appeared for the first time, were each fined ss. An inebriate, who was suffering from the effects of drink, was remanded for eight days for medical treatment. LYTTELTON. Friday, June 1. [Before W. Donald, Esq., E.M., and H. E. Webb, Esq., J.P.] Drunkenness. —W. J. Nankarvis, an old offender, arrested by Constable Bullen, was fined 20s, or, in default, ninety-six hours'. John Brown, arrested by Constable Moutray, was fined ss, or. in default, twenty-four hours'.
