The vanguard is at Olti, and the left wing is advancing on Diarbekr. The centre or main body is bombarding the outworks of Kars. AUSTRALIA. The Suez Mail. Melbourne, May 29. The Ringarooma, with the Suez mail, left Melboiume yesterday. Sydney, May 29. The submarine cable between Victoria and Tasmania, is broken to-day. INTE RPRO VIN CI AL. Dunedin, May 29. The Harbor Board last night resolved—- " That only one dock be made, the centre being in line with Stuart street, and that the rock walling be carried on as per Mr Proudfoot's contract, in order that in years to come, should a second dock be required, the same might be erected at a comparatively small cost." Mr Reynolds considered the resolution rediculous, and intimated his intention of opposing it by every means in his power. Timabu, May 29. In the case of Nixon, the Coroner's jury returned a verdict of "Accidental death." The whole affair is very mysterious. Deceeased had been here about a month, but was not known to anyone. Deceased is said to have a considerable sum in the bank besides what was found upon him. He was dressed like a gentleman, and, from his papers, seems to have been a great chess player. No one knows why he came here, or anything else about him. Auckland, May 29. The Taupo sailed at 10 a.m. Walker, the trance medium, is a passenger for Dunedin. His seances here were a financial failure. He is intensely disgusted with Auckland. He blames some of his committee for compromising him. The private enquiry re the stranding of the Ferania is proceeding at the Customs. At a meeting of the Auckland Steam Packet Company, a resolution Avas carried that the shareholders empower the directors to sell the boats and property of the Company whenever fair prices can be obtained, and as soon as possible. At the settling meeting of the Wangamii Jockey Club it was resolved that in view of the reported resolution of the Canterbury Jockey Club, dated May 25th, this club declines in future to recognise any complaint »r disqualification made by the Canterbury Jockey Club, unless such complaint or disquahfiea.tion has previously been referred to, and confirmed by, at least one club, of the proceedings of hich the "Wanganui Jockey Club takes cognisant.
