Mr Robert Graham, in his address to the electors of city west, said he thought the land fund beyond control. He advocated an equitable arrangement between the North and South, failing which separation. He advocated the unrestricted sale of lands by natives, reform in administration, reduction of the civil list, a general system of secular education, the sale of railways to English capitalists, taxation on the lands of absentees, and a comprehensive scheme of self-government for Auckland.
