♦ The Customs revenue collected on Wednesday amounted to £17911 4s, as follows : —Spirits, £299 19s 9d; wine, £5 11s 2d ; beer, £7O; tea, £59 12s; sugar, £2B 9s 8d; oilman’s stores, £304 Is 8d; tobacco, £9O 7s 6d; cigars, £l7 12s Od; drapery, £137; grindery, £4 16s; platedwarc, £l4 2s; paper bags, £l3 18s; brushware, £l2 6s; fancy goods, £34 12s; china, £9 4s; glassware, £37 2s: saddlery, £37 4s; furniture, £l7 6s; musical instruments, £33 2s ; hardware, £177 2s od; hops, £26 Os 9d; cement*, £SO ; drugs, £l4 10s; kerosene, £10; paints, £6B 9s 6d; oils, £63 10s ; timber, £Bl 8s 7d ; sundries, £lO 16s 6d. The land sold by the Waste Lands Board yesterday amounted to 3191 acres, realising £6382, situated in the following counties: —Ashley, 271 acres; Sclwyn, 401 acres; Akaroa, 50 acres, Ashburton, 2204 acres; Geraldine, 40 acres; Waimate, 225 acres.
