Mr George Darrell. —Mr Darrell is a passenger from Dunedin by the, steamer Wakatipu, for Sydney. The Guardian states I that it was his intention to, have accepted the j offer of Messrs Hoskins and Dc Lias to play j farewell engagements in Christchurch and ! Auckland, prior to his departure from New Zealand, but a Sydney telegram informed him that his drama of “Transported for Life” had been accepted, and that preparations for its production had already commenced.
