Dunedin, April 29. A stable, containing twenty stalls, the property of John Frazer, Market reserve, was burned last night. All the horses wore got out safely, but the forage and harness, valued at £l5O, wore destroyed. There is no insurance, and the origin of the lire is not known. [IUiO.M A CORRESPONDENT.] Waiau, April 6. St. Helen’s Station, Jlaniner Plains, with 13,300 sheep, has been sold for £20,000, the purchaser being Mr W. A. Low, of Oamaru. Wellington, April 19. The charge of mismanagement and ineompotency brought against Mr Reeves, wharfinger for the Corporation, has been investigated, and the committee finding that some of the signatures attached to the petition were obtained by misrepresentation declined to consider the petition in any way.
